The venue of the conference is the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, in Milan, Italy.

Politecnico di Milano is one of the best scientific-technological universities in the world according to the prestigious QS World University Rankings, classified 1st in Italy and 156th worldwide (Ranking 2018-2019). The School of Management was established formally in 2003 and groups together MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business founded in 1979, which focuses on post-experience education and the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DIG) that was established in 1990 bringing together all research and education operations in the field of management. The DIG Department’s main mission is to impact on society by creating and sharing knowledge at the intersection between engineering, management and economics through outstanding research, top quality education and serving the community. DIG is one of the largest Departments of Politecnico di Milano, with around ninety tenured professors. DIG research aims to produce excellent science though a tailored approach characterized by multi-disciplinarity, mastering of multiple methodologies and intense connections with practitioners and policymakers. DIG carries out research and consulting projects, employs the permanent faculty and runs the degree courses in Management Engineering, both at BSc (3 years) and MSc (2 years) levels, as well as the PhD Programme. All remaining post-graduate education (MBA, Executive MBA, Specialising Masters, Executive programmes, Customised Corporate programmes and education in the Management and Education sector) is managed by MIP.

The School of Management today includes a broad range of research initiatives and teaching activities. The School is EQUIS and AMBA accredited and is ranked by Financial Times and QS among the best European Business Schools. The School is member of PRME, Cladea, ACE and QTEM.
